Workshop: Adobe Illustrator für die Erstellung von wissenschaftlichen Grafiken

Requirements: Own Laptop with Adobe Illustrator CS3 (Windows) or CS4 (Mac)

Workshop aim: Graphical design of scientific illustrations

Workshop language: In general, German. We will use the English software version and questions can be asked and will be answered in English. If your German skills are not sufficient, we will try to assist you during the workshop.

Contents:

Day 1 9-12:00	introduction to vector illustration Basics and required basic settings Basic functions of the tool kit
Day 1 13-16:00	Creative handling of the graphical basic objects Working with areas, outlines and patterns Perfect color usage for lines, fillings and gradients Working with paths Working efficiently with layers
Day 2 9-12:00	Importing and adapting bitmap images Other images formats Creating and changing diagrams Diagramme erstellen und bearbeiten Actions toolkit Export of illustrations Pseudo 3D-Illustrations of objects
Day 2 13-16:00	Applying your newly aquired skills to your own projects Creating your own illustrations
