High-Precision Nano Plasmonics
Prof. Bert Hecht, Universität Würzburg
After an easy-going introduction to nanoplasmonics with special emphasis on plasmonic nanoantennas and controlled and enhanced light-matter interaction, we will discuss a number of recent experimental examples such as enhanced inelastic electron tunnelling, room-temperature strong-light-matter coupling, nonlinear optics, and optical recoil forces. A common theme in all of these applications is that they require plasmonic nanostructures with fabrication tolerances on the order of 2-3 gold atom diameters.
