Hand's on Python Workshop (for participants with intermediate skills)

September 30 - October 1, 2024, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
room A249, Theresienstr. 37

Data analysis is key to contemporary scientific questions. In this two-day workshop, we will look into data analyses using Python. Based on the interests of the participants, the workshop topics will be customized to their specific needs. We will look specifically into the participant's data on the second day and discuss common use cases given the use cases provided by the participants.

The trainer

The workshop is given by Prof. Dr. Andreas M Kist, a Python enthusiast and AI specialist. Andreas received a PhD in Neuroscience from LMU for his work at the MPI for Neurobiology and is heading a lab to analyze x-dimensional biomedical data. Since 2016, he has provided his knowledge for workshops and consulting.

Prerequisites

Intermediate Python programming skills. Running scripts, for-loops and defining functions are no problem for you. You have worked with advanced Python libraries, such as numpy, with hands-on experience. A notebook running Anaconda (Python 3.x) is crucial for the course.
