Welcome!
Dr. Nadia Ruthardt joins CeNS as Extraordinary Member
Nadia Ruthardt studied Biology at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and Yale University, USA. She received her diploma in 2001 with a thesis on neuronal growth cone guidance in Aplysia californica. In 2005 she was awarded a doctoral degree from the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology at the RWTH Aachen for her work on endocytosis in plant cells. After her PhD she turned back to mammalian cell systems and joined the group of Prof. Christoph Bräuchle at LMU München as a PostDoc to study the entry of polymeric nanoparticles for gene delivery into cells.
Since 2008, Nadia Ruthardt is working on her habilitation in Prof. Bräuchles group and she is investigating the entry of viruses and nanoparticles for gene and drug delivery into cells by highly sensitive fluorescence microscopy on single particle level in living cells.
