Special issue on the occasion of Prof. Jochen Feldmann's 60th birthday

 

Professor Jochen Feldmann has been a pioneer of time-resolved optical spectroscopy of tailored nanosystems and nanomaterials. Several important fundamental discoveries from his group have laid the foundation for further research developments in the respective fields.

A special issue of Advanced Optical Materials now celebrates the 60th birthday of Prof. Jochen Feldmann, a world-renowned scientist on optical spectroscopy of nanosystems (see also the Guest Editorial, article number 2201394). The front cover illustrates the interaction of light with a nanocrystal to reveal the nature of optical excitations and its photocatalytic performance. Exploring new materials and investigating their optical properties and applications has been an important research direction of Prof. Feldmann. His work and enthusiasm have inspired many young researchers working in his group and beyond.
